Charges against police superintendent accused of sexually assaulting recruit withdrawn

Three years after an Ottawa police superintendent was suspended amid an investigation into his alleged grooming and sexual assault of a female recruit, the criminal charges against him were withdrawn in court Monday at the request of prosecutors.
Experts say the bill, which cuts billions of tax credits for clean energy and electric vehicles, end a brief era where the U.S. and Canada were moving in the same direction.
