Dear Nepean-Carleton residents,
Please join us for an important community meeting on public school closings in Nepean, bringing commuter rail to the National Capital region (including Nepean-Carleton) over existing rail lines, and the Energy East pipeline.
Green Party of Ontario leader Mike Schreiner will be on hand to speak about the education deficit in Ontario and how we can avoid closing local public schools in Nepean. Mike will also address the construction of the Energy East pipeline, which will pass through the south of our riding.
Joseph Potvin from Moose Passenger Rail will be on hand too to talk to us about their plan to bring commuter rail to the National Capital Region. Moose is a private consortium commuter rail proposal that hopes to bring commuter rail to Eastern Ontario and Western Quebec. Moose hopes to have at least two stations in Nepean, including one in Bells Corners.
