B.C. government recruits former federal minister Harjit Sajjan as Ottawa boosts military spending

The British Columbia government has recruited former national defence minister Harjit Sajjan to help the province secure some of the billions the federal government will spend to boost its military commitment.
Sajjan served as the minister between 2015 and 2021, and Jobs minister Ravi Kahlon says he has agreed to advise the provincial government for free.
Foreign Affairs Minister Anita Anand said she is seeking a balance between alleviating economic stress and pursuing Ottawa's security and human rights priorities.
