B.C. Conservative Leader expects party fundraising to take off

John Rustad, the leader of British Columbia’s official opposition, says questions about his grip on the B.C. Conservative Party are behind him, and he issued a call to the province’s business community to start fundraising.
Mr. Rustad asserted control this week when he passed a leadership review with a 70-per-cent approval rating from party members, and promptly expelled a high-profile member of his caucus, Elenore Sturko, for working behind the scenes to unseat him.

A Lululemon heist has led to the discovery of $10,000 worth of stolen leggings in a Newfoundland home and police are warning it’s part of a larger trend of rising organized retail crime.
The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) have charged a 30-year-old woman and a 35-year-old man with theft over $5,000. They tracked them down to a home in Mount Pearl, just outside St. John’s, after a Tuesday morning theft from the popular sporting gear store in the Avalon Mall.
