When Ottawa Public Health switched from daily to weekly testing of water at municipal beaches this summer, the city’s general manager of recreation, cultural and facility services, Dan Chenier, said the move met the province’s standards and mirrored the approach being taken by other public health units in Ontario, as well as by the National Capital Commission.
