A new report has been released by the CD Howe Institute, detailing students’ success across Ontario’s school boards. As you might guess by the brief description, they are examining which school boards are outperforming the competition, and which ones are missing the mark. For both of Ottawa’s major school boards, their report cards aren’t too pleasant to look at. Kristy Cameron gathers instant reaction from David Johnson, a Professor Emeritus of Economics at Wilfrid Laurier University. He is also the author of a report called ‘Signposts of Success: Evaluating Ontario’s Elementary Schools’.
