Nova Scotia wildfire grows as firefighters in Newfoundland helped by cooler temperatures

Officials in Nova Scotia say a wildfire in the western part of the province has grown and could force people out of their homes.
In a social media post, Department of Natural Resources officials say the Long Lake wildfire has spread over 11 square kilometres and is moving toward West Dalhousie Road in Annapolis County.
Winnipeg police say the appointment of their first Indigenous relations advisor is an important step toward reconciliation.
