Canadian-led patrol finds alleged shark finning, killing of dolphins in North Pacific

A Canadian-led patrol of the North Pacific earlier this year uncovered dozens of alleged fisheries violations, including illegal shark finning and killing of dolphins.
Sean Wheeler, international enforcement chief for the Fisheries Department, said the two-month surveillance mission was the first to include crews from other countries, including the United States, Japan and South Korea, on a single vessel.

A Prince Edward Island man facing a terrorism peace bond has been ordered to follow a raft of conditions, including not accessing the internet and not holding a passport.The RCMP in Prince Edward Island sought a terrorism peace bond for the 51-year-old man, fearing he may commit a terrorism offence.Officers say they seized 3D printed firearm components and arrested the man at his residence in February.

The Houthi prime minister in Yemen, Ahmed al-Rahawi, and several of his Cabinet members were slain in an Israeli airstrike on the capital city of Sanaa on Aug. 28, the Israel Defence Forces and the Iranian-backed group confirmed on Saturday.
“The Israeli enemy targeted the prime minister and several ministers during a routine workshop held by the government to evaluate its activity and performance over the past year,” according to a formal statement carried on Houthi-run television and cited by CNN.
