A three-year-old drowned at Mille Roches Beach in Long Sault, Ont., Saturday. Despite resuscitation efforts, the child died in hospital. OPP are investigating.

TFI International Inc. TFII-T has reported a drop in second-quarter profit as weak demand took a toll on the volume of goods it hauls. Canada’s largest trucking firm reported net income of US$98.2-million for the three months ended June 30, down from US$115.7-million a year earlier.
