The federal government says it will extend the deadline for temporary employment insurance measures from July 12 to October 11 as the trade war continues.

Starting Aug. 1, tolls for all vehicles on the Confederation Bridge will drop from $50.25 to $20. Fares for inter-provincial ferries are also being cut by half.
