Voting Day and the deadline to vote by special mail-in ballot in the 2025 Osgoode By-election is Monday, June 16, 2025. Eligible electors in Ward 20 Osgoode can vote in person from 10 am to 8 pm at any of the voting places listed below, regardless of their address:

1. Osgoode Village Community Centre, 5660 Osgoode Main Street  
2. Greely Community Centre,1448 Meadow Drive
3. St. Mark Catholic High School, 1040 Dozois Road 
4. Parkway Church, 7275 Parkway Road 
5. Metcalfe Community Centre, 2785 8th Line Road 
6. École élémentaire catholique Saint-Guillaume, 5750 Buckland Road 
7. Vernon Recreation Centre, 7950 Lawrence Street

Eligible electors who reside in identified institutions and retirement homes will also have the opportunity to vote in those locations on Voting Day, during the designated voting hours. All electors will be required to present a piece of identification in order to receive a ballot at their voting place. The identification must show your name and qualifying address. Photo identification is not required. If you cannot present an acceptable proof of identity you will be required to make a statutory declaration prior to being issued a ballot. You can bring your Voter Notification Letter with you to the voting place to assist with the voting process; however, it is not required to vote. Your Voter Notification Letter cannot be used as a piece of ID. If you did not receive a Voter Notification Letter, you can verify your information on the Voters’ List using the Am I on the Voters’ List? search tool on ottawa.ca/vote. If your name does not appear on the Voters’ List, or if you would like to amend your information, you can download and complete an Application to Add or Amend my Information on the Voters’ List and bring it with you to your voting place on voting days. These applications will also be available at all voting places and are easy to fill out on-site. All voting places are fully accessible. Visit ottawa.ca/vote for information about the accessibility tools available to electors at voting places.  Voting by proxy Electors can also appoint a proxy to vote on their behalf. A proxy must be an eligible elector in the City of Ottawa and can still cast their own ballot if they are an eligible elector in Ward 20 Osgoode. To appoint a proxy, the elector and the person they want to appoint must fill out two copies of the Appointment for Voting Proxy - Form 3. The proxy must take the completed forms to the Elections Office or any Client Service Centre during regular business hours to have it certified by City staff by 4:30 pm on Monday, June 16. Voting by special mail-in ballot The period to apply to vote by special mail-in ballot ended at 4:30 pm on Friday, May 23. If you applied to vote by special mail-in ballot, please follow the instructions in your Special Ballot Voter Kit to mark your ballot and submit your completed voting kit. Special mail-in ballots must be received by 4:30 pm on Voting Day, June 16. Ballots received after this deadline will not be counted. Note: To ensure your special mail-in ballot for the 2025 Osgoode By-election is received before the deadline (June 16 at 4:30 pm), it is highly recommended that your completed voting kit be delivered in person to one of the locations listed on the “Drop-off locations” sheet in your voting kit. The drop-off locations are also available on ottawa.ca/vote. If you wish to mail your completed voting kit using Canada Post, you are highly encouraged to monitor the status of the potential labour disruption before doing so.
