Effective April 11th, the United States is tightening the rules on how long its visitors can stay. Specific to us, Canadians who are visiting for more than 30 days are now required to register with authorities. It will likely impact roughly 900,000 Canadian snowbirds, who typically spend their winters in southern U.S. states with warmer climates, ranging from Florida to Texas. And while this registration process might be free for Canadians, it’s a big lengthy. Stephen Fine, the President of Snowbird Advisor, vents his frustrations in Hour 2. Meantime, after U.S. President Trump launched tariffs on Canadian steel and aluminum products this morning, Canada is hitting back with dollar-for-dollar retaliation.
