February 27, 2025
It is Election Day in Ontario and there are snowflakes on the ground, a poetic sign as we settle the first Winter election in over 100 years. The polls opened at 9 o’clock this morning and they are scheduled to close at 9 o’clock tonight. Shifting gears to federal politics, Canada’s Public Safety Minister is visiting Washington today, joined alongside the country’s Immigration Minister and the newly-appointed Fentanyl Czar. Once again, they are trying to stop Trump’s tariffs on Canadian-made goods. And after yesterday’s mixed messaging as to when those tariffs would be slapped onto Canada’s tab, the March 4th target date remains in play. Source: U.S. President Donald John Trump.
