February 24, 2025

After two massive snowstorms hit Canada’s Capital over a span of 4 days, city crews are trying their best to clear up Ottawa’s roads as quickly as possible. Sadly, one week later, some of our city’s snowbanks are still too high and some of the roads haven’t been cleared to the residents’ liking. Today, two city councillors have written an open letter, calling on city staff to explain how roads are being prioritized for snow-clearing. How are things looking in your neighbourhood right now? How would you grade the city’s efforts? Kristy Cameron sifts through the textboard and tackles today’s Question of the Day. Plus, it’s a Monday afternoon, which means it’s time to talk politics with our Political Heat Panel. Not surprisingly, U.S. President Donald Trump plans to move ahead with his Canadian-targeted tariffs. And as we enter the homestretch of the Liberal leadership race, the remaining 4 candidates are squaring off for 2 debates in 2 nights. We gather our panelists’ insight on both topics.
