Hour 3 of Ottawa Now for Wed. January 29th, 2025

January 29, 2025
Heading into 2025, we didn’t know if an early provincial election would turn into a foregone conclusion. But in light of U.S. President Trump’s plans to tax Canadian-made goods, that is exactly what we are facing right now. This morning, all 4 political parties launched their visions for Ontario’s future. In 28 days, on February 27th, Ontarians will make their decision. What are your top concerns heading into this ice-cold voting period? Kristy Cameron sifts through the textboard and tackles today’s Question of the Day. Meantime, Ottawa Police is starting to increase its police presence in and around schools across the city. This follows a series of community concerns and a string of school lockdowns. OPS Staff-Sergeant Fernando Vieira is involved with the Community Youth Unit. He joins us in Hour 3.
