Hour 2 of Ottawa Now for Fri. January 24th, 2025

January 24, 2025
On Tuesday afternoon, Devora Caytak went to Bayshore Shopping Centre to buy a laptop and iPad for her non-profit organization. She says the equipment was purchased through community fundraisers that benefited the Jewish Library of Ottawa, as well as preschool courses and educational classes. She was walking to her car, with the electronics in hand, when she was robbed by two teenagers. Within an hour, the stolen goods were displayed on Facebook Marketplace. Caytak tells Kristy Cameron what happened next. Plus, if you want to see a Hollywood action thriller this weekend, Matt Demers might have something just for you. He drops by the Hal Anthony studios to deliver his Weekly Movie Picks!
