A dog owner in Kanata is pretty shaken up after her 4-year-old Yorkie was poisoned last week. Thankfully, Winston is out of hospital and recovering in his own bed, but his owner Ally fears that this scary scenario could happen to any pet owner. In fact, a string of other complaints across the province has renewed a series of urgent calls to ban the use of Rodenticide. That story is coming up in Hour 2. Meantime, the closure of Café Dekcuf on Rideau Street has left promising musicians in a very tough spot. And for local drummer Stuart MacFarlane, the loss of that venue hits even harder. He explains why.
