The cost of a senior's transit pass in 2025 was expected to climb significantly. Ahead of the Budget Day vote, that proposed increase has gone down twice. Meantime, the Canadian Cancer Society has unveiled new data into the country's cancer treatment costs, specifically how much Canadians have to pay just to fight this disease. Starting Tuesday, the United States will impose across-the-board tariffs of 25 per cent on Canadian goods and 10-per-cent tariffs on “energy resources.” The 25 per cent levy will also be placed on goods from Mexico, while Chinese goods will face an additional 10 per cent tariff.
