Justin Trudeau & Bottled Water

September 25, 2013

Good afternoon Justin,

I wrote to you back in April questioning why you still used/drank bottled water especially after you wrote this article back in 2008: http://www.thestar.com/life/health_wellness/2008/08/11/the_case_against_...

I was very disappointed, even frustrated, when I saw you with a plastic bottled water during a CBC interview. One of your assistants told me he was going to bring it to your attention and I asked for some feedback. I have not heard back from you until today when someone phoned asking for money.

I told him no and I told him why. I will send my money to institutions and organizations that value and respect their members and their concerns. (BTW the caller today asked me what my concerns were and I told him it was sustainability and the environment. I wonder what he'll do with that info).

Now back to my issue: will you please stop consuming bottled water (especially in offices and urban settings) and say so publicly. As the new leader your statement will have a ripple effect that your (great) article could not have had back then. Let's change the paradigm and make tap water cool! You can do it.

My offer for a free metal bottle still stands!

I hope that you and the Liberals will take the environment very seriously. The Carbon Tax was a great proposal. So far I'm not too happy with what I have seen.

Sincerely,

PS. I had to go to the www.parl.gc.ca web site to find your email. The www.Liberal.ca web site does not have the emails of most of your MP's including yours. Is there a reason?
