Trump tariffs on lumber, furniture go into effect

Last month, U.S. President Donald Trump signed a presidential proclamation announcing a 10 per cent tariff on imports of softwood timber and lumber.
On Monday, Finance Minister Peter Bethlenfalvy said he would announce the money as part of the fall economic statement when it is tabled next month.
