The Lake George wildfire which sparked about two weeks ago is now under control, Nova Scotia officials say, with residents of the area having been able to return home last week.

Ottawa-Carleton District School Board supervisor Bob Plamondon says he is under no obligation to meet with Ottawa media to explain his actions. Really? Mr. Plamondon should remember that education is an important public responsibility, funded by public tax dollars.
