Mark Carney announces Canada officially recognizes a Palestinian state

Prime Minister Mark Carney formally announced that Canada will recognize a Palestinian state at the United Nations General Assembly. The United Kingdom and Australia also recognized a Palestinian state, and others are expected to do so during the general assembly in New York this week.
