Ontario Liberals narrowly vote against leadership contest to replace Bonnie Crombie

Ontario Liberals have narrowly voted against holding a leadership contest but questions remain about leader Bonnie Crombie’s future at the helm of the party.
The results of the vote, announced Sunday at a downtown Toronto hotel, were 57 per cent against holding a leadership contest and 43 per cent in favour of having one.
The Bank of Canada cut its key interest rate Wednesday by 25 basis points to 2.5 per cent, and this marks the first cut by the central bank since March.

The union representing WestJet flight attendants says it has given the airline notice to begin contract talks. CUPE 8125 says in a press release that it has served notice to bargain a new collective agreement. Its current contract is set to expire on Dec. 31.
