September 5, 2025

If you have fallen into the stunt driving trap, you are starting to make a lot of enemies in Canada’s Capital. To be more specific, a crowd of city councillors who are growing increasingly frustrated by the day. In Hour 1, Barrhaven West councillor David Hill openly confessed what was grinding his gears. And if a driver gets a pair of stunt driving convictions, River Ward councillor Riley Brockington believes that should be enough to warrant a vehicle seizure. Is this a big problem where you live, and what is the best way to deal with this problem? Kristy Cameron sifts through the CFRA textboard and tackles today’s Question of the Day. Turning back to Prime Minister Carney’s big announcement, Canada will be implementing a 9-part strategy to support the economic sectors that have taken the biggest Trump gut-punches. Next year, a zero-emission vehicle sales target was supposed to be implemented by Canada. However, that plan has been pulled back for 2026, and an immediate review of the EV mandate is slated to begin shortly. Joining us in Hour 3 with his reaction is Brian Kingston, the President of the Canadian Vehicle Manufacturers Association.
