Crown in Hockey Canada sex-assault trial won’t appeal not-guilty verdict

August 21, 2025

The Crown has decided not to appeal the verdict in the Hockey Canada sexual-assault trial, after all five accused were found not guilty last month.

When the ruling was handed down in a London, Ont., courtroom July 24, Crown attorney Meaghan Cunningham said she would review the decision by Justice Maria Carroccia before determining how to proceed.
