Hour 3 of Ottawa Now for Wed. July 16th, 2025

July 16, 2025

NHL teams are in the midst of revealing their season schedules for the 2025-2026 campaign, the last 82-game season before the new CBA kicks in. In an attempt to inject some fun, and perhaps a bit of humour, the Buffalo Sabres delivered a chicken wing tier-list to describe each NHL city. For Ottawa, they chose Plain. Would you classify that as an honest rating, or is it just plain hogwash? Kristy Cameron sifts through the textboard and tackles today’s Question of the Day. However, when it comes to Ottawa’s public transit, some of you might use more colourful language to describe its overall performance. As of right now, Barrhaven West councillor David Hill wants to extend the 90-minute transfer window for OC Transpo commuters. That’s because some commuters have complained that their O-Train and bus trips from Downtown Ottawa to Barrhaven exceed the 90-minute transfer window. This also includes trips from Gatineau to Barrhaven. And if this window is exceeded, commuters could be charged two separate times for a single trip. Laura Shantz from Ottawa Transit Riders drops by for a visit in Hour 3.
