Montreal police are investigating after a Jewish father was attacked in the city’s Villeray–Saint-Michel–Parc-Extension borough on Friday afternoon, an act condemned by much of the political class on Saturday.
Police say no arrests have been made as the 32-year-old man who was with his three children was struck several times by a suspect around 2:45 p.m.
One Perfect Date was filmed in Regina, Sask. and has now wrapped up production. The coming-of-age romantic comedy stars Canadian talent Madison Tevlin.

A Nova Scotia man who intentionally violated the province’s ban on entering the woods says he plans to fight his $28,000 fine.
Jeffrey Evely, a veteran and former candidate for the People’s Party of Canada, recorded a video over the weekend of him first going to the Department of Natural Resources in Coxheath, N.S., and informing officers he was going into the woods to protest the ban.
