And as we head into another blazing-hot August weekend, Canada’s Capital is under a Heat Warning, with daily temperatures expected to hit and surpass 30 degrees Celsius over the next few days. Over in Navan, festival organizers are crossing their fingers for a favourable forecast, as the annual Navan Fair kicks into high-gear. Prolific Canadian actor Graham Greene, who earlier this year received a Governor General’s award for lifetime artistic achievement, has died. Greene’s manager Gerry Jordan said Greene died on Monday in Stratford, Ont., of natural causes. He was 73.
