Fauja Singh, an Indian-born runner nicknamed the Turbaned Torpedo who was believed to be the world’s oldest marathon runner, has died after being hit by a car. He was 114.

A Calgary police officer has been charged with two counts of second-degree murder after Alberta’s civilian oversight agency investigated a 2023 shooting that left two men dead.
