Heat wave expected to end Thursday night, air quality concerns remain

The heat warning issued last Friday for the Ottawa-Gatineau region should last until Thursday night, according to Environment Canada. Special air quality statements issued by the agency on Monday also linger Tuesday.

The report states that out of the 244 accidental lake drownings over the past decade, between 2014 and 2024, 28 have occurred in Okanagan Lake.
