Hospitalizations increase in salmonella outbreak tied to recalled salami

The Public Health Agency of Canada says 84 people have gotten sick with salmonella linked to deli meats since April, and there have now been nine hospitalizations.
The report states that out of the 244 accidental lake drownings over the past decade, between 2014 and 2024, 28 have occurred in Okanagan Lake.
