Squamish wildfire fight helped by cooler weather, but emergency remains

The District of Squamish says the Dryden Creek wildfire has stayed steady at 0.6 square kilometres in size since Friday, and could be considered held in the coming days.

Police in Gatineau are investigating the deaths of two people of carbon monoxide poisoning Saturday night. Gatineau firefighters were called to a residence on Boulevard Wilfrid-Lavigne in the Aylmer district just after 7 p.m. The victims were found deceased. The investigation was taken over by police. Police have released no further details.
