Injured bear shot, killed by police in highway median

Ontario Provincial Police shot and killed an injured young bear in the median of Highway 7 in west Ottawa around noon Tuesday, saying it was seriously injured and suffering with no nearby options to treat it.
Amid signs that the North Atlantic’s great white shark population is growing, popular Cape Cod beaches are using technology to warn swimmers and surfers when it’s time to get out of the water.
