DHL Express locks out workers across Canada

Unifor says DHL Express Canada locked out workers just after midnight today as the two sides failed to reach a contract deal, injecting more labour turmoil into the country’s parcel delivery market.The union, which represents 2,100 truck drivers, couriers and warehouse workers across seven provinces, says they went on strike in response at 11 a.m. ET.
The barrier on the south side of the tri-community will be removed on Thursday at 8 a.m., the same time the evacuation order will lift.

Toronto police say they are looking for multiple suspects after a man was killed in the city’s third fatal shooting in a week. Police say the shooting is believed to be targeted and it happened Monday around 8:30 p.m. near the intersection of Cedar Drive and Eglinton Avenue in the city’s east end.
