One of the former world junior hockey players now on trial for sexual assault told his teammates in a text message that “we all need to say the same thing” after learning Hockey Canada was investigating and that the police could be launching their own probe, their trial heard.Michael McLeod and other members of the team also told each other in the messages, which were released as exhibits on Thursday at a trial in London, Ont., that they should tell the truth as they maintained that a woman who had alleged she was sexually assaulted had consented to sexual activity that happened in a hotel room following a night of drinking and dancing.
