Alberta replacing top public health official as province deals with measles outbreak
April 15, 2025
Alberta is without a chief medical officer of health as outbreaks of measles hit all regions of the province.Alberta Health, in a statement Tuesday, said Mark Joffe’s contract expired Monday. Pope Francis, who served in the position for 12 years, passed away Monday morning at the age of 88. As some Ottawans arrived to church for their Easter Monday morning mass, they still hadn't heard the news.
