Alleged Vancouver attacker accused of biting off security guard’s finger tip

Police in Vancouver say a man has been arrested and charged after he allegedly bit off the finger tip of a security guard during an attack downtown.Investigators say it happened on April 10 at a plaza outside the Granville Square office building near Granville and West Cordova streets.Police say they were called in after the 62-year-old man, believed to be working as a security guard, had a “brief interaction” with the suspect at around 10:30 a.m.
