Travellers flying into Ottawa can finally reach downtown from the airport with the opening of O-Train Lines 2 and 4, and that is something to celebrate: Ottawa joins Toronto and Vancouver as the only three Canadian cities with an airport rail-transit link. But it's baffling that this critical infrastructure was built in a way that makes it not only less efficient than other Canadian cities’ rail lines, but somehow even worse than ride-hailing services and buses.
