Hour 1 of Ottawa Now for Mon. February 24th, 2025
February 24, 2025

Over a week has passed since the City of Ottawa was decked with snow, as a pair of chaotic blizzards rolled through Canada’s Capital over a 4-day span. The sky-high snowbanks are still present in some areas, while other streets haven’t been cleared properly. In an open letter to city staff, two city councillors want to know why, and they want a renewed sense of clarity as to how today’s roads are being prioritized for snow-clearing. One of those councillors is Somerset representative Ariel Troster. The other is Kitchissippi councillor Jeff Leiper. The latter joins Kristy Cameron in Hour 1. Turning our focus to the looming Ontario election, which is on Thursday, the PC Party has finally unveiled their party platform. A few days prior, the Ontario NDP and the Ontario Liberals delivered their vision for the province. CTV’s Siobhan Morris delivers the key takeaways from Doug Ford’s 4-year plan.
Even though 30 months have elapsed and the rosters have been altered since they met in the 2022 American League wild-card series, there still are bitter feelings between the Toronto Blue Jays and Seattle Mariners.
