Gondola falls near base of lift at Kicking Horse ski resort near Golden, B.C.

The lifts at Kicking Horse Mountain Resort in southeastern British Columbia were shut down Monday after a gondola cabin fell to the ground.Photos online show the cabin on its side near the base of a lift, suggesting it may have fallen a few metres.A notice posted online by the ski resort outside Golden, B.C., says the incident occurred at about 9:20 a.m. at the base of the Golden Eagle Express gondola.
