On Thursday, America’s biggest boss pressed the ‘Pause’ button on some of his Canadian-made and Mexico-made tariffs. However, he has made it very clear that our country has not evaded the firing squad. So before speeding through March and diving head-first into April, Canada is wasting little time in providing urgent relief to its inhabitants. Earlier today, Employment Minister Steven MacKinnon unveiled a series of enhanced supports for Canadian businesses, which will take effect immediately as we fight through these challenging times together. Meantime, our country is also hitting the ‘Pause’ button on its second round of counter-tariffs, but Ontario’s Premier is still pressing forward with his push-back.
