The owner of a Kanata nuclear facility resumed negotiations with his striking workers this week, more than a year after he offered them a package with a zero per cent pay increase for two years.

Starting Tuesday, the United States will impose across-the-board tariffs of 25 per cent on Canadian goods and 10-per-cent tariffs on “energy resources.” The 25 per cent levy will also be placed on goods from Mexico, while Chinese goods will face an additional 10 per cent tariff.
