Dutch Supreme Court rejects bid by Amanda Todd’s tormentor to scrap Canadian sentence

The Dutch Supreme Court has rejected online extortionist Aydin Coban’s bid to scrap his Canadian sentence for tormenting B.C. teenager Amanda Todd.Coban is a Dutch national who was extradited, tried and given a 13-year sentence in B.C., before being sent back to the Netherlands where he was already serving time for separate offences.

Starting Tuesday, the United States will impose across-the-board tariffs of 25 per cent on Canadian goods and 10-per-cent tariffs on “energy resources.” The 25 per cent levy will also be placed on goods from Mexico, while Chinese goods will face an additional 10 per cent tariff.
