International student visa applications in Ontario will drop in 2025, province says

The number of international student visa applications available to Ontario colleges and universities will drop in 2025, according to new figures released by the provincial government.Ontario will receive a target of about 116,000 study permits this year and 181,000 applications under allocations from the federal government, down from a target of roughly 141,000 permits and 235,000 applications in 2024.
