Share your ideas for an Ottawa that has a diversified and prosperous economy
October 22, 2024
The City is excited to officially launch the third theme of “Your city, your ideas,” a multi-phase service review initiative where you can share your ideas on how we can serve you better while finding innovative ways to save money that can be reinvested into other City priorities.
This next theme, “A city that has a diversified and prosperous economy,” is open for input and will highlight topics such as the Financial Literacy Program, the work of the City’s Business Improvement Areas, and programs under the City’s Business Licensing By-law.
We’ve heard from Ottawa City Council, our partners, City staff and now we want to hear from you, our residents! Do you have ideas on how the City can save money while improving services? Head over to Engage Ottawa to participate. It’s your city, and your ideas!
City of Ottawa Service Reviews
Service reviews are an evaluation of an organization’s services to look for improvements to service delivery, efficiency and effectiveness. We want to harness the experience of our residents, who live in and contribute to our beautiful city every day. Our goal is to put any savings that are found from the service reviews towards the Term of Council priorities. These priorities focus on making our city an even better place to live, learn, work and play and envision an Ottawa that:
- Has affordable housing and is more liveable for all
- Is more connected with reliable, safe and accessible mobility options
- Has a diversified and prosperous economy
- Is green and resilient
